Plants & lichens
On walks, I collect interesting organic and mineral forms, often dried by sun and wind. In the studio they provide an endless source of visual stimulation.
Things seen on walks
When out on hikes I often notice particular trees, rock forms, old buildings or other things that somehow catch the eye and hover in the mind. Later, they may crop up in drawings – sometimes as fragments or as guiding compositional structures.
